No you don't need a reservation you can buy tickets online or you can buy them there its best to go early because there is a lot to see in St.Augustine and the best way to do it is to ride the old town trolley...there is a ticket booth for everything at the old jail

No reservations were needed for my party of 6 on 5/30. Bought discounted tickets at old Town trolley and walked over. Went right at opening, not crowded at all and peacocks were out.
