Yes,, but remain vigilant. There is security in numbers but if there aren't many vehicles around you, stay on your toes, especially if you're in a car,SUV or pickup. Easy to get lulled by the ether of false security.
It is an accepted practice at all WalMarts. They allow a single nights stay; common courtesy says you don't put out your slides, and no noise. We would just stay in the RV unless we were going into the store.
