Can you launch/take out your own kayak at the water's edge? I've read some blogs that said it's a "strenuous, uphill, long walk back to the parking lot while dragging your own vessel".

Depends on the person how hard it is, I'm 22 and I think if I had a friend it would be a good and simple 2min walk

Yeah, you can walk your own kayak. Its a hassle, but its worth the 6 dollar fee due to how pretty it is.

Yes, you can. It's a vigorous walk, and well worth it after what you see in the park!

Yes you can there is a good walk to launch your kayak or canoe and there no charge for the just park admission of $6.00

You can bring your own kayak or canoe to the springs. There is an uphill walk back to the parking lot. It's a great workout!

Yes you can, but make sure you park at the far end of the parking lot. It is a very long walk down hill and then of course up hill when you are done. We have a 96 lbs canoe and we are over 55 and it was very strenuous. So we bought a $49 cart. But if your kayak is light you'll be fine.
