Is there a picnic area or place for a one day camp? Not overnight. And are dogs on a leash allowed?

Yes there's a picnic area and you can camp .

Lots of picnic spots. The shelters are sometimes reserved, but there's a lot of spots in the open too. Dogs are fine, and I believe there's a fenced in off-leash area too.
