Who calls Sonic to place an order? Its a Drive in!
I worked at this location. Due to labor hours and having highschool student working the night shift managers are taking into consideration of the employees working there. This store closes at 10 pm and it takes the cooks about 45 minutes to get the store ready for close. This means most won't get home until around 11 pm. Keep in mind that these are highschool students. This store does everything they can in order to provide great customer service, however they can not provide it after work hours. May I suggest that you call about 30 minutes earlier?
Alot of places close early so the employees can get off early also there's labor hours to consider
Yes Jason, very correct. If there have been no customers say for instance an hour. You have 5 regular paid employees at maybe $7 per hour not to mention the manager on duty. At least $35 + has been spent with no money coming in for that hour. That doesn't include the electricity etc being used at that time. Just an example of course. But if your labor numbers goes too high because of no business then you start losing money. Then all of A sudden they decide to close because they are just costing more and there comes one or two cars that may spend on average $6-15 per car. Usually less, at that time at night most customers just want a drink, or ice cream. Most of the closing chores are already done by then. Of course, they could go ahead and cook you a burger 5 or 10 min to close but then their job just doubled. They only get paid for 30 min after close. All in all, most cases you have to cut losses and close early if its a slow night.
