I have a 12 y/o cat that I've had since he was a kitten. I love him dearly but I am 70 now and he is very sick and I can't afford the medicine and food he needs. What do I do?

I adopted my cat from here, but would not bring a sick cat here to re-home it, as they do have to euthanize many animals. If your cat is possibly going to be euthanized it is better for you to be with him in his last moments...not an unfamiliar place with strangers. Please call your vet to discuss less expensive options for your cat's care, including whether euthanizing is the right choice. Please don't give up your pet. Good luck.

A sick elderly cat is not likely to be adopted, he would probably be euthanized. Please talk to your vet about options, and maybe try GoFundMe.
