Hey Rick ,it is a family place but when you ask about how loud it gets around 7ish on Fridays honestly that's the time when the loud crowd starts to show up. My advice the best time to go on a Friday with your 12 year old is between 4pm and 6pm or Sundays when the crowd is less wild up. But it is a great place to teach your 12yr old how to shoot pool.
