I will never rent from Avis again. They’re a scam. 500 dollar fee for dropping at a different avis closer to original avis. Price gouging during a natural disaster/wild fire. Can’t process split payments. By far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had. The spirit airlines of rental cars.

After renting with the company roughly 50 times this year, they still manage to treat Preferred Avis members like trash. In addition to charging me an additional $300 for a single day rental, they also did a credit inquiry (and stated they would do it every time I rent with them, as if that won't destroy my credit) and acted as if my 22h prescheduled rental using a debit card was not valid. This rental should not cost over $400 to rent for less than a day and the cars are not nice enough or clean enough for the cost. The app is inconsistent at best and pricing is always wrong no matter what happens. Customer service has no idea or contact with the desks and generally the company expects the customer to do the leg work. Despite my number of rentals I won't be using this company anymore.
