My guess is the smell of smoke from your clothing transferred to surfaces in the room. I am highly sensitive cigarette smoke, and because I have asthma. I am not saying take off your clothing but perhaps be aware that is is away the smell of smoking could transfer.

What a smelly thing for them to do. I had the same thing happen at a Days Inn in Grand Rapids...we disputed it thru my Credit card ..I think we prevailed...never cked back on it. But C.C. companies remove the disputed charge immediately until it is resolved...there are common aerosol sprays that remove the smells available for about 12.00...check Office Max..Amazon..janitorial supply company...might be a good thing to have in your travel bag...best regards
