We stayed at the Wyndaham hotel in the French Quarters at 126 Royal Avenue and there are plenty other hotels in the area as well.
Yes there are near by. I rented a Airbnb on bourbon street and drive from Texas. There is an airport not far away. I would suggest looking at a travel site and doing some research to find what's best for your needs.

DEANIES and Pat O Brien's, with Cafe Beighte is all good eat. I stsy with husband as the Wyndham french quarters closento everything. Walking distance Louis Armstrong aorport is half hour outside of Bourbon street. One wa ay.qaa $28 to my hotel. Ot wa as provided by the airport transportation inside baggage carousel #4.
