We dropped on last minute on a Saturday in January with a group of 6. Wait was about 45 minutes, but they have a nice bar where you can wait. Lobster dumplingd are worth the wait.
Had no problems, but I made a reservations a few days in advance.

On weekends or holidays yes. Mon- Thurs not so bad. Easy for lunch.
