Both are good choices. The VA hired brand new staff from the outside when they started the Shawnee CBOC, so they do not have the bad attitudes of the people at the Kansaa City VA. Because of the construction, parking is very limited now at the KCVA. I like the Leavenworth VA, but have only been to the specialty clinics there. Podiatry & PT are first rate there.
Yes you may go to any VA clinic (if you are a veteran). However, you might want to investigate what services are provided before you ask to switch. I was assigned to the Shawnee clinic because I am a senior and my new doctor is a geriatric doctor.
You should be able to. The personnel there are very informative and helpful.
I think so. Best bet is to drive to the Shawnee clinic and ask the front desk folks. Very nice people there.
Yes you can. Especially if you live that close. You'll probably have to change your primary doctor.
