Actually, it depends on what mood the manager is in on that particular day. I had a terrible experience when I tried to exchange a pair of pants that my mother-in-law had bought for my son. I obviously didn't have the receipt and I had even called ahead of time to find out what my options were. But once I got to Walmart I was told that the manager would not give me store credit or even an exchange without a receipt. There was no damage on the pants nor had they been worn. I didn't know on what exact date my mother-in-law purchased them or what type of payment she used. So, they told me no. Now I'm stuck with a new pair of boys pants that are too small.
