Monosodium glutamate is found naturally, most commonly in sea weed. It is often blamed for causing headaches. It is far more likely that salt is the culprit. Heavy salt and artificial butter on popcorn could easily be to blame especially paired with candy or soda.
I work here and we only add butter salt and oil to the popcorn (the norm for making popcorn). Customers are free to add their own butter, kosher salt, and flavorings.
We frequent this theater, as well as many friends and family members. I am sorry you didnt feel well after eating the popcorn but why did you eat more if it made you sick?
Contact the theater, rather than posting on Google. Why do you expect moviegoers to know.
It's regular movie butter, so it's mostly oil. MSG does not make people sick for the most part, unless you're specifically allergic to it.
I know that the "buttery topping" tastes SOOOOO good but never fails to make me SOOOOOO sick lol! There's something in that stuff that just doesn't work with my digestive system.
