After my appointment what do I do with the notification letter
You should take the original or a copy of the USCIS biometrics appointment notice, your I-797 Notice of Action (receipt letter), and photo identification (e.g. passport, green card, employment authorization card, driver's license, etc.).
You only need the notification letter and a photo ID.
