How can you charge $2.85 for chips and salsa? This is the only place i have ever been to that doesn't offer it free as an appetizer.

I think it’s extremely arrogant to go out to dinner and assume you will be receiving something for free.

Go for the ambiance and food, enjoyable restaurant

But the hot chili. Forget the chips.

It's an extremely common free appetizer at any decent Mexican restaurant. The food was pretty mediocre so I won't be coming back

It's in the Old Market, free anything?

Kathy Polley | Sep 14, 2019

That just leaves more chips and salsa for the rest of us

Mexican food is going gourmet slowly. It won’t always be cheap less free. I’ll report on Trini’s, might be there tonight, and I do go for authentic.

Everywhere I go charges. You have your choice of different appetizers with varying prices.

If other places "give" you chips and salsa, trust me they aren't FREE. It is just they don't ask you first. The aren't itemized but still hidden in your total cost. Being up front with the itemized cost, saves a great deal of waste.
