I read that article as well, and I am a little disturbed by the fact that the reporters said they were splattered with blood and brain matter. I understand that people want to eat food that is fresh, but surely that could be done in a more hygienic way. As for their choice of food, it's not any easier on chickens and cows to get turned into nuggets and burgers. Indonesia is a beautiful country, and the people there are wonderful. Yes, some of their food, while delicious, is unusual to Western tastes, but that doesn't make it automatically bad. In America they use hot irons to brand cattle, but Americans still eat steaks. Furthermore, you also need to understand that there's only like one city of one province of one island of a huge county that does this. Like, literally almost no one in Indonesia has eaten cat. It's not fair to judge an entire country for such a small fraction of people.
I agree completely with Xakimus Prime, whats the difference between eating a cow, a bird, or a dog. Absolutely no difference who the heck is anyone to judge weather you eat one animal or another? If you have a problem with people eating dogs or cats you may want to look in the mirror next time you eat a burger. Get real. The People of Indonesia are the most kind and respectful people I've experienced on earth.
