It depends where you live which factors in possible traffic or transit. I recommend at least an hour before flight your arrival at the airport. You may also consider at least half hour travel in addition by auto. It's just to be safe. Many of us wish to forgo the extra wait time. But more of us do not wish to miss our flight.
