The campground is about a 10 minutes walk or a short bike ride to a beach. You can drive to Herring Cove and Race Point (beautiful National Seashore beaches) with fee parking.
It's a lovely, eye pleasing walk to the Town beach from the campground. Herring Cove is approximately 1.8 miles and Race Point is just a bit further. With regard to Uber/Lyft/Taxi service - Because we have many pedestrians, bicyclists, children, dogs, strollers, skooters and general camper traffic, we ask that all taxi services pick up and drop off at the guard shack, which is located at the front of our property. The exception to the rule is if the guest is handicapped or for any other reason preventing them from walking. We find this is a much safer plan than having folks driving around aimlessly looking for sites. We also ask all food delivery drivers to meet the guest at the guard shack for food pick up by guest.
Not an easy walk, use an Uber, but they don't allow them to come to your site.
Campgound is within shuttle bus runs seasonal bicycle or by driving RV / car to state park Herring Cove / Race Point. Beach shoreline Approx.1mile distance thank you
It is also good to rent or bring a bike to hit the beach. The national seashore is a better beach but does cost to get in than the p-town beach.
The campground is within a 10 minute walk to the beach and old town where all the shops, restaurants and main activities are.
