Some 99 Cent stores are better than others. The better the neighborhood the better the store as far as the staff goes you're spending $0.99 what kind of service do you exactly want?
You staff these places with people who don't speak English so you can pay them cheaper. If you ask someone a question, most of the time they look at you strangely cause they don't understand you. Why isn't speaking a requirement for the job??? If I tried to work someplace and didn't speak the language, I wouldn't be hired. It should be the same for 99 Cents Store.
I see different races and usually there's a black man at least by the snacks and teas last aisles to help. Sorry you had a bad experience

That one is definitely the worst. Try Bell and 43rd Avenue, 83rd and Thunderbird or12th Street and Northern .
it is not all the same races, but yes they need more people in the aisles if someone has a question.
