Seem like there is some resort/ beach tax even on Airbnb. Go to one of the hotel booking apps you may get a better deal
Yes there are other area hotels without the fees but Sirata is a resort. There are hotels by John's pass which is by beach have pool and within walking distance to almost everything in town of treasure Island without the expensiveness
I think you can get around the resort fee. There are other hotels nearby,but none as nice
