To my knowledge you would have to contact the HOA on site. Im not 100% but my family members who live there are not allowed to have a fence.. Just a pool covering screen room etc.
You can read the documents (covenants, bylaws, and Architectural Criteria) if you go to our website. Search canterbury lake estates. You'll find a page where you can click on the website. Under welcome visitors, there is a menu you can pull down where you can find the documents without being a member. It is an excellent idea to read the documents of ANY deed restricted community you are thinking of buying in. Re: your question about fences. We never allow fences around the entire perimeter of the property. In general, fences have to be behind the sides of the house and in the back yard and cannot be higher than 4 feet and must be picket style or open rail. If this isn't specific enough, I can put you in touch with our Architectural Committee Chair. Let me know if that would be helpful. If you get to the ARC document, you'll find all the information on fences on page 5. Hope this helps!
