Wow. Im confused. So you want to receive a monthly ss payment? for your first decieased husband because you got divorced to the second one? Money we all get taxed for? I dont think so and I certainly hope not. If so the US needs to fix that. If he is deceased why do you need the money? You weren't the one on social security. Even if he was military... I'm pretty sure it hold the same rules and regulations as Alimony. You got remarried all past spousal support is void. Although if you had children with your first husband in certain circumstances your children could receive ss payment or something similar. If you had children with your second husband they would not receive the same benefits. I suggest if you need money, you work like the rest of us or you can just apply for ss for yourself. I truly do not understand the logic behind your question. Really hope there are other circumstances you failed to mention in your question because idk smh so many not nice options of your character.

No you cannot receive your first husband Social Security payments! Reason: because you married another man. Divorce does not mean you are going to get Social Security money from the first husband since he is deceased. Example: If you had received your first husbands Social Security money after his death, and then remarried, you lose the first husbands Social Security money, plain and simple. So if you get a divorce from the second husband there is no going back to claim the first husbands Social Security money period, end of story. The only legal way to keep the first husbands Social Security payment after he dies, is to not remarry! There are many who live with their 'New Love' as 'Common Law' husbands and wives, and that way they still get the spouse that has passed on, Social Security money. I say live with the 'New Love' and keep the money coming in. Saves on Divorce Lawyers/Court Fees if the relationship goes 'South' period!

Call the office and check. I know you have to have been married 10 years to a spouse to collect. You can not collect yours and his, But you cant marry someone else and go back and collect off previous person previous.there are many stipulation you have to meet look up widow benefits for SS

Everyone seem to no the answer but you both are not legally correct morally perhaps 🤔 If you we married to your X For at least 10 full years or more you can collect from his Social Security even if you remarry but when your new marriage passes the 10 year mark you would then collect from his Social Security and can no longer collect from your deceased First Hubby. Now if you reach retirement age if your social security is more money than his, you collect your own SS if not it is as stated above you collect from one of your late husband. GL ....its been 3 yrs she might have hubby 3 lol
