I was in there when a guy with a Maryland DL was denied. The state your from also has to allow residents to buy firearms outside of their state. Some states, like Maryland, don't allow out of state purchases.

"As long as you have a government issued ID and are over 21 you are allowed to buy whatever you wish, even when out of state." Slightly condensed but this is from Virginia law. Also, I'm from macclenny as well.
