Far
If you want to tube I would goto Rock Springs. Wekiva is better for canoe and kayak. The river also has small boats on it. There is no defined walk back that I know of. The trip from State Park to Wekiva Island is about 5 miles I believe.
No no no you get the canoe at Rock Springs you ride the canoe down the river and takes about 4 or 5 hours however long you want to take and a car picks you up and brings you back to your car it's an awesome trip
Don't do it much to far
Never tuned down there always at rock springs. 15 walk back
If you ride the river to the end, you'll be in the Atlantic ocean by Jacksonville
Yeah, it's better to rent a canoe or kayak. The current isn't too hard to fight. I usually go up the river, chill in a shaded, clear, shallow area, then float back down the river with the current when we're done.
Not sure how far, you put in at Wekiva island and end up in Wekiva springs. I've always canoed both ways
