Yes. Here's the info verbatim from the Orlando Sentinel you can get the full story their website but it's mainly just about her traffic and probation violations: "...Barnes was in Big Tree Park, near Longwood, home of The Senator, on Jan. 16, 2012, according to court records. She had hopped over a fence and was inside a hollow part at the base of the tree when she set fire to some debris so she could see the drugs she wanted to use, according to her arrest report..." It's a real shame and deeply saddens me.

Model: Sara Barnes, 26, of Winter Park, Florida, was identified by two witnesses as the person who caused the 118ft bald cypress tree named 'The Senator' to burn and collapse on January 16, police said It went up in flames about 5.30am on January 16, 2012 after Barnes lit a fire inside it. She said she frequently went to the tree to smoke meth. That morning, she lit a fire so that she could see the drugs she was trying to light up.  She told police the fire got out of control. Within hours, the Senator, the fifth oldest tree in the world, had collapsed into a pile of charred kindling.

Story goes that there was a person (possibly homeless) who may or may not have been intoxicated using the hollow internals of the tree as a shelter with a fire.
