Will a 14' kayak navigate Long Creek OK and generally what is the depth of the water at high tide? Concerned with bottoming out on oyster bars in the kayak.

I have entered long creek from the intercoastal in an 11' kayak at mid tide. There was just enough clearance but I navigated carefully around some areas that looked too shallow. I have not been through the entire length of the creek, but I believe you should be good at high tide. There are many branches off of the main Creek, so there's probably always a way around a shallow area.

I have the same questions. The creek looks narrow and from the satellite pictures you can see oyster beds when it nears the ICW.
