Nice little spot to sit along the water or fish off the pier. Short walk to the kayak ramp, I never realized that much space was set back behind the neighborhoods! I went on a Saturday morning and there were only 2 cars there, rain was in the forecast so it may have been busier if the weather was nicer.

Not very big, and hidden in the middle of downtown, but some beautiful scenery down the path to the kayak dock.

Questions & Answers

I have enjoyed walks with my dog and grandchildren - being it’s close to home. Looks like Phase 1 is complete, right? Does Phase 2 include pavilions, and restrooms; when will construction begin?

City of Palm Coast - Parks & Recreation would be the best to ask.

Will a 14' kayak navigate Long Creek OK and generally what is the depth of the water at high tide? Concerned with bottoming out on oyster bars in the kayak.

I have entered long creek from the intercoastal in an 11' kayak at mid tide. There was just enough clearance but I navigated carefully around some areas that looked too shallow. I have not been through the entire length of the creek, but I believe you should be good at high tide. There are many branches off of the main Creek, so there's probably always a way around a shallow area.

Are there paved bike trails and if so whats the distance

No there are no paved bike trails it's not a very big park

I want to go fishing in the canals there, my sister says they are brackish water. I am an out of state fisher and I was told I only need freshwater license since I am going for largemouth bass. Are these canals indeed brackish water?

Yes, these are brackish waters in the canals and I have been fishing here for over a year now and it's a great place for snapper, blackdrum, and in certain months catfish.

Long Creek from the launch at the dirt path (not canal). Any advice? Is it tidally affected being 6 miles from ICW.

Jim Gavigan | Sep 12, 2019

Yes it is. It is a launch off of a dock. Use the tide table from Bing's landing as your guide.

If I enter the canal with my paddleboard from the ramp at the parking lot, and I go right, where would that take me? Also, this might sound silly, but are there any gators in the area? :-)

Kathy we kayak from the Long Creek ramp, we have never seen gators, but have seen, dolphin and manatee. I agree with Jim, there certainly could be gators. Be careful at the end of the ramp, the silt us slippery and you can be cut on the sharp edges of shells and barnacles.

I launched a kayak yesterday & didn't see any signs or markers for navigating to Bings Landing. Is it really possible? Thanks.
