They just participated in a fund raising event to donate funds to the Bahamas victims of Hurricane Dorian and they pulled down all the money which added up to $15,000.00 which was 100% donated.
The money is there because customers want to put it there. It is not put there by the staff or owners. The food is always good and the staff courteous. That may be why they are always so busy.
I asked about the money and could get no answers as to why it was there. To me it seems like a wasteful gimmick that they don't even explain. I know they are not using the money on the staff or food quality.
We were there a month ago and the walls and ceiling were covered with lots of currency. Could not see a single space of wall or ceiling.
If a customer wants to leave a dollar the staff provide a marker and staple gun.
I was also there in mid September and money still adorned the walls
