I immediately approached this establishment and the smell immediately put me off - not of an oyster. When the live music (amazing!) began we were enjoying ourselves despite the stench. We wanted to embrace ourselves fully in this music so we moved closer towards the talented man. Whilst perched at a near table, listening to the great music, a rude woman approached us and told us to leave - we were immediately taken by surprise but respected her demand so we proceeded to move to a decrepit corner in humiliation. Immediately a short beaded man approached us and immediately demanded that we immediately give him our credit card. We were ready to indulge in more drinks however the attitude and tone of this angry man immediately shortened our evening. He then asked if we could immediately finalise this with cash which we unfortunately had to pay earlier than expected. We paid this short man immediately and then proceeded to wait 15 minutes or so (not immediate) to relieve us of our change due to the diabolical customer service. After this period of time (which we were waiting patiently for - not immediately) we asked for our change for a third time. The short bearded man approached us and told us he was searching for our "pennies". After some time we recovered our change and immediately left the bar accompanied by a security man that was obviously called to intimidate and immediate us. As we left an employee sarcastically muttered 'Thank god you got your change!!'. We are not ones ones to deny tips of good servers however due to our awful treatment we wanted to make a point. We will never come back to this skob.

Great Florida coast atmosphere and better food than most of the tourist spots. Live music

Before I start, I love SKOB and we come here every time we come to Sarasota. This time, however, it was very meh. We got the steamed oysters to start, as per usual, but this time it seamed like a very small amount on the shells, very bland overall taste. No big deal, we ordered the rest of our food. All of our food, for what it costs, felt very average, with nobody saying anything was exceptional. It wasn't bad, just not anything I would want to spend almost 130$ on. The service and staff were fine. No complaints there. We will be back, just chalking it up to a bad day.

Oysters were awesome. Food was also great a must stop if you're in siesta key.

They just participated in a fund raising event to donate funds to the Bahamas victims of Hurricane Dorian and they pulled down all the money which added up to $15,000.00 which was 100% donated.
It's 30-45 minute call ahead seating only.
Well we haven't decided what but if you have any idea about what will be good tell me what will you like??
Celebrate with your SKOB Family on Christmas Day! Chef's Gino and Marcos have planned some great specials in addition to their regular menu! Great Food * Live music from 7-11 * Drink Specials*
I am not sure however 3pm is happy hour and oysters are 1/2 price. You get a dozen for $8. 👍🏼
You must have been somewhere else!
A few years ago they took all the dollar bills down and donated it to charity - I think I heard it was several thousand dollars Then they started all over, now there's a whole new set of dollar bills
They are regularly 14 dollars but on happy hour they are 7
Yes they do you can do it online at their website or ask the bartender or your server
Skip it. Go to Big Water Fish Market. Order the scallops or the tuna. Seriously. You won't be disappointed. We went three times in one week. The locals love it and know where to go.
