Usually, when you schedule your appointment they will tell you what you need to have for the procedure. If they don't, you should ask. Most procedures require some type of preparation and or previous results you've had pertaining to the same or similar ailment. Most times your doctor will provide all needed previous results that apply. I hope this helps in the future.
To answer your initial question they dont have access to hosputal records but the hosputal has access to their records. If u had a scan done in an er u need to always go back and ask for a copy of the scans as the radiologist no matter where u go will ask to see previous scans. And yes they should have told u that u needed to bring them with u.
