We appreciate your strong feelings and understand your frustration with the Sacramento Ballet as 2017 was a difficult year. That said, 2017 also ushered in new leadership committed to regaining a stable financial footing. Specifically, the ballet hired a new Artistic Director who officially takes the helm in July 2018; she's a former SacBallet dancer who has operated her own company successfully and responsibly for over five years. The Ballet also hired a new Executive Director, a former principal dancer with a business degree and years of experience as a company manager. Finally, the Ballet elected a new Board president with almost two decades of public sector senior leadership experience. All three are committed to financial stability for the company. The ballet pledges to operate with greater transparency and financial responsibility in the future. Please allow us the opportunity to demonstrate that commitment to you. Sincerely, Andrew Roth President, SacBallet Board of Directors
Sacramento ballet has yet to pay the workers who built and operated their presentation of Peter Pan in March. Maybe they'll operate in 2018 if they're not bankrupt.
