The town also has a large industrial area. I've seen many jobs advertised there. It's 8 minutes from SFO, one of the largest international airports in the US. There are a ton of jobs there. The economy is booming now and jobs are going unfilled in the SF Bay area. Traffic is a killer though so driving more than 5 or 10 miles could be a deal breaker.
That is a good question. I would say, it depends. The town itself is very small and middle class. And has a couple small markets and a couple bars, which changes is actually a couple miles and under the freeway overpass, from the Marina. This is silicon Valley and the Marina area is being built up, with huge new building, mostly for tech companies and other high profile aircraft, medical and other tech style businesses. Brisbane is surrounded by San Francisco and South San Francisco as well as the San Francisco International Airport, just a bike ride away from the harbor so there is plenty of application opportunities, for work of all kinds just not directly in the town of Brisbane. There are no stores of any kind, within 3 miles of the Marina and nothing is planned for stores of any kind, around or near the Marina.
