No I dont think you need to check it everytime - I would call it to the managrr's attention and hopefully they will replace the salad or give you a new one. Maybe they got busy. I usually have a great experience at almost every Panera.
Unfortunately this does happen. You should get a free treat if they get the order wrong though.
