I don't know about dye, but I asked why was the water that color they said it's due it's chemicals to get keep the algae down. I can say it's not bad on the skin, I have skin grafts on my legs and no problem with over drying like chlorine. On our last visit 8-6-222 they were huge catfish swimming and playing with guests, it's was a totally cool experience.
An assortment of fish (carp/bass/catfish & carp). We also have aerators in the lake that help to turn the entire body of water over multiple times per day.
