No sandals whatsoever. Anything with heels is the way to go.
Boat shoes are way too informal in general, IMO. However, you might be able to get away with it depending on the rest of your outfit. If in doubt, give them a call.

A strappy, but fancy high heel is ok. But boat shoes are too informal.

For sure, a boat shoe would be to casual. Remember, the dress code is that men must wear Coats and ties and dress shoes . So think about shoes that are more formal. No casual wear is allowed.
In my opinion and experience,I think anything fancy or elegant is good. What I've seeing is fancy and elegant. I don't think they'll allow sandals. Never seeing it.
