Did you ask the Manager for help and ge refused? They're not going to do much if none of the other Patrons complain. I'm pretty sure if you had, the manager would have tried to address the issue even if it was jyst to offer you another area of the restaurant. If you did and he refused, I would have made the decision to ask to be moved or left. Don't let others take away a potentially joyous occasion for you and yours. I wouldn't.
Maybe you should have asked to be moved to the opposite side of the restaurant. Unfortunately they can't control the behavior of small children
