Um, not true. The employees at O'Reilly's in Sunnyvale are ready and willing to help anybody with anything. I have personally observed them perform services for store customers many times. 5 star service assistance and I'd give 6 stars if it were available.
No they will not..you have to do it by yourself.
I heard that they can't physically touch your car in California as they got sued by mechanics. Pepboys can and will install batteries as they have service facility.
