90% of people don't want to leave their car to correct an order, an exaggeration tbh but I think they should quit this practice because they should aim to please....the car behind you only ordered a cola but isn't the idea of a drive thru first come first serve? Last time I visited the Apalachin McDonald's I ordered a mocha frappe and 2 triple cheeseburgers with only ketchup, what did I get? A caramel frappe and triples with onions pickles everything I didn't want, I'll admit they are usually very cordial at the window and I love McDonald's but when this location gets a lunch rush it does not seem they handle it well. Unfortunately there are no competitors in Apalachin but afaik owego has the same management and I've never had a bad experience there albeit I don't go there as often
They generally only do this if they are making a new batch of something or if it's a larger order to get more people through. So I would say it probably evens out rather then making everyone with shorter or finished orders wait.
Their wait time is terrible everywhere. Taco bell burger king Wendy's wait is far better.
