Debra, while you are not required to reserve a seat in advance the theater can fill up quickly and reserving a seat ahead of time locks in the best seats early. As for the gift card question, ShowPlace ICON Theatres is not an AMC theater so their gift card would not work. While you can reserve your seats on Fandango, you would only be able to use their gift card on their website. I hope this helps.
