Parking is free for the first 75 mins in the garage, street, and lots. Rates are $1.50 per hour. There is free unmetered parking in front of the Santa Barbara Building and Safety (Garden Street and on E Cota St). It gets very full though.
There is quite a bit of free parking. You might have to walk a bit, but they have a shuttle that you can ride all day for $1. The free parking usually fills up very quickly this time of year.
Everyone visiting Santa Barbara is expected to pay. Parking is not free enjoy your visit..
