If I find my possible stolen item on craigslist who should i contact and can I do it anytime or does it have to be during business hrs. Thank you in advance for your help.

If it's not terribly expensive maybe you should buy it. If it proves to be yours, via serial number or something, you can turn it over for evidence. Have your case number handy and REMEMBER, cops don't go out looking for stolen stuff. It's almost a nuisance to them. The more leg work you do yourself, the better! Good luck.
