I asked for a custom suit and was told one off the shelf would be cheaper. Then got charged for all the alterations. This was a horrible experience.
If you get a custom suit instead of one off of the rack, everything is included in the price, plus you get to choose your colors and other options. The price is reasonable in my opinion. (~$400)
They have to pay the seamstresses. The expensive suit you buy cost them more wholesale, your paying for the name. So while they do make more from a name brand then something cheap, it's marginal.
