IF i wanted to drop my car off and pick up a friend by meeting them inside by baggage claim, How do i drop my car off and where do i drop it off. Do i also need to pay for a ticket in order to let the staff know i will be doing that?

Just drive to short term parking. You can leave the car, then meet your friend in the terminal & return to your car.

You can't drop off your car at the pick up, you have to stay in your car and they come out to you.
