I took a flight last week and a covid test wasn't needed. But if it's a busy airport get there at least 2-3 hours early because they might have covid dogs there and it might slow down the process.
You may not need a test. Best to check with the airline. A COVID-19 test will not be required for you to fly within the United States. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention decided not to recommend tests for domestic air travel.2 days ago.
I don't believe that a negative covid test is required for domestic travel (except Hawaii) YET, but the requirement is under discussion.
The normal 2 hours before should be fine and I don't really know bout the covid stuff cause I fly private...
