If you tell them this they will wrap the meat and toppings in plastic wrap to protect the bread. I've done this to take a sub back from South Florida to Texas for a friend to try one of their subs and it worked well.
of course all you have to do is ask them to put all the condiments in baggies they'll make the actual sandwich with the bread and not put any of the vegetables on it or the vinegar you can get all that on the side and I'll set you up with mayonnaise and everything all you have to do is tell him that you want the sub for tomorrow no set everything aside and put it in a little bag its perfect they've been doing that for me for years every time I go fishing I need subs today before
