We drive 2 hours to shop at Costco so we take it for what it is.
I heard it's happening in 2020. Don't quote me
I'm working for them now. They're going to build a new warehouse on the north side of Bend (where the Target, Best Buy, Lowes, Home Depot, etc is), however the current warehouse will not stay as a Costco. Our manager said that this market (Central Oregon as a whole, including Jefferson and Crook Counties along with Deschutes) is still too small to warrant having 2 Costcos. The new warehouse will be a much larger warehouse, on par with other more modern Costcos in other areas, and will have a gas station and car wash too apparently. Construction on the new warehouse WAS supposed to start in 2020, but then COVID happened. It is slated to start at the end of 2021 or early 2022 now, and we are supposed to move in by the end of 2022.
Usually it happens when the population reaches 50,000. Don't wish for it.
Not going to happen
PLEASE, dangerous to be so close to shop, but it would be fabulous
