I work on East Lake Toho and be aware that dogs swimming attracts alligators so I wouldn't advise it!
There is signage that says "no dogs on the beach" but it is not enforced, and dogs go all the time. There are many alligators in this lake so if you go, be VERY careful. A child was attacked recently by a gator in this lake.
