Yes u can fish in the lake. There is a nice fishing pier, but u can also fish off the bank in many spots. They also have a boat ramp. FYI, you do need a fishing license. I don't think the employees there ask for one, but you never know when the Fish and Game Warden will be around checking for one.

Yes, there is a beach and I have swam in many times, but never comfortable, has there is too much vegetation around the swim area, which in my mind means gators.
