Music is not at all too loud. Great for conversation, but you can also hear the music- usually Sinatra style. Atmosphere is a mix between family style and romantic, works for both.
One time I went, there was a soloist singing classic standards. However, usually the music is at a reasonable level so conversation is easy. Atmosphere is quiet and typical Italian American. I love the place. Great for a first date.
It's really nice and quaint. The music was like Sinatra type stuff. It was only load becuase we were right under the speaker. They turned it down when asked. Very nice romantic type atmosphere. Food was great and the service was too.
